New hair cut

Well I finally made myself go and get my hair cut. It was in great need of something. Of course, being in a new place it scared me to death trying to figure out where to go. So finally I just went
for it. I guess it turned out okay. You can't really tell in the picture, but the highlights were lighter then I wanted them and of course it was a lot shorter then Mike wanted it. But hey, I figure, it will grow and it still looks better then it did.

Zachs first day of 1st grade

Zachary started first grade at Royal Manor Elementary yesterday. I think that he is really going to like it there. His teachers name is Mrs. Rogers and she seems really nice. He was suppose to be in a different class, but two days before school started, after he had already met his teacher and learned where his class was, the principle called and said that they had to add another first grade class. So they put Zach in the new class, so he got a new teacher and his new class was in a totally different place then his first one. Luckily it is a pretty small school, so he remembered where it was just fine on the first day. The school is pretty small and so are the classes, so it seems like a really good school, more family oriented and they actually care about each student because they can. So that is nice.

The only bad thing about it is that it is so early! We are not morning people at all. In Virginia Zach was gone from about 8:45 - 4:00. Here he leaves at 7:30 and comes home at 2:30. It was pretty funny, on the first day of school when I woke-up Zach he asked me if this was really the right time for school. I told him yes and he said, "Everyday?". And I said yes. So he got this really serious look on his face and said "I can tell school is really going to change for me this year." I thought that was pretty funny. But then this morning he actually woke-up a little before I even had to wake him up so I think he will be just fine.

Here he is finishing his breakfast.
Then posing on the bus. The bus stop is only two houses away and the bus driver seems really really nice. Which is a great change because the one he had last year was a little mean.

He is growing up so fast, I can't believe that he is in 1st grade already. It sure was nice having him home this summer. He helped me out a lot with the other kids. He is a great kid and I am so glad that he is ours!

Tyler, what a handful...

Tyler was suppose to be taking a nap. For now, we have to put him in Henry's nursery because he won't stay in bed if he is in the room he shares with Zach. So Thursday he was in there and I had just moved Henry's bassinet into there. And I went in to check on Tyler, there he was, with his little pillows, cup, dino, and blanket, sleeping in the bassinet. It was pretty funny and too hard to get mad at him.

These are some pictures that I just discovered on my camera as I was downloading the other ones. After cleaning up (trying to) blue jewelry cleaner from the white carpet in our master bath that Tyler had spilled all over. (I am doing this while the cleaner is soaking in and hopefully getting it out) I am guessing that Tyler was trying his had at photography in these pictures. The first one is his belly button. What a kid!

Having fun in the sun!

Here are the kids the other day running through the sprinklers while I tried to save our lawn from dying. People around here don't really water their lawns too much. But at least the kids had fun. I am still getting used to this whole, having a yard to take care of thing.

Mikes first dental blunder

This was so funny I just had to share it. Mike came home from work the other day and said that he did his first dumb thing as a dentist. He was just checking some ladies teeth for some cancer screening thing and he had to pull her tongue to the side to look. The lady was about 50 and told him to be careful because she gaged really easy. So Mike was going to say "Don't worry, I won't stick my finger down your throat, just on your tongue." And instead he said, "Don't worry, I won't stick my tongue down your throat." He didn't even realize what he had said until the lady started laughing. She thought it was so funny and said that it had made her day! Isn't my hubby so cute!
